Please join us for an interesting and interactive session on social marketing approaches to preventing opioid overdose and addiction

  • Rachel Meade, Washington Department of Health (DOH). How pre-launch data collection and audience segmentation guided Washington implementation of the CDC Rx Awareness campaign. 
  • Kelley Groen, Educational Service District 112. How the social marketing framework guided the planning phase of Vancouver's Safe and Secure Home Storage initiative to prevent youth access. 
  • Mallory Peak (Health Care Authority) and Haley Graham (DH) will discuss the It Starts with One campaign, including how monitoring results from year one are being used to refine campaign strategies and audience segmentation in year 2. 
  • Chris Baumgartner, DOH Drug Systems Director, will discuss how Washington's Prescription Drug Monitoring Program addresses product availability and provider prescribing behavior.
