John Snow, Inc. (JSI), a leading public health research and consulting organization, is seeking a highly motivated Health Communication Specialist to work in the Health Services Division (HSD) on domestic health projects. Successful candidates will have a strong background and interest in health communication, including: developing messaging for diverse audiences; developing and implementing communication and social media strategy; producing content for a variety of channels; managing digital advertising campaigns; and applying health behavior change theory and practice to a diverse set of health challenges. Our projects range from state- or county-wide social marketing campaigns to training and technical assistance projects with a variety of ongoing strategic communications needs. Specifically, the candidate should be comfortable providing technical assistance and training to public sector clients to assist them in meeting their communication goals. In addition to project work, the Health Communication Specialist will also actively participate in organizing and contributing to proposals for new public health-related projects at the local, state, and national levels.
